Description
Teal diamond or trapezoid shaped enamelled copper earrings on surgical steel, allergy-safe earhooks. I made these earrings by enamelling trapezoid copper shapes with teal vitreous enamel. Teal to me is a green tinted blue, but it depends how you see blue/green. Perhaps turquoise is a better term! On the last firing, I left them in the kiln for longer (overfired). This has given very tiny paler and darker dots so the colour isn’t boring. The back of the earrings have been enamelled too in teal because the enamel on the back stops them warping too much in the kiln. They are 2.5cm long.
