Description
Red diamond shaped enamelled earrings on surgical steel, allergy-safe earhooks, presented in a black box. When I made these earrings, I put them in the kiln for longer than normal for the final firing (overfired) because it gives unpredictable, but interesting and unique effects. For these red diamond earrings, overfiring gave lots of darker dots, with a darker outer edge. The red is not a vivid, bright red, more of a darker red. I’ve called the shape diamond, but they could also be called trapezoid or rhomboid I think. The back of the earrings have been enamelled in same colour because the enamel on the back stops them warping too much in the kiln. The earrings are about 2cm long.
