Description
Square multicolour enamelled necklace on a surgical steel allergy-safe chain, presented in a black box. I made the necklace using creamy white vitreous enamel. On one side, on the last firing I added a mix of colours and swirled through them. I enamelled the back in white too because enamelling the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. I thought the back looked too boring so I added tiny glass pieces to give colourful spots. For the chain, surgical steel looks silver, but doesn’t tarnish. The chain is slightly longer than often, at 60cm total length, because it can always be made shorter with a knot. The square is 3cm along an edge, but it’s hung as a diamond.
