Description
Textured copper heart necklace cut from sheet copper, hanging from black waxed cord. I made this pendant by cutting a heart shape out of sheet copper. To add interest I hammered the heart against a metal block. This gives a slightly scuffed pattern on one side and a slightly more obvious hammer mark pattern on the other. This means you can wear it whichever way you prefer. I polished it then coated it in lacquer to keep it shiny. The lacquer may rub off though with time and wear. It’s on a black waxed cotton cord. The hole for the cord is off-centre so the heart hangs at an angle. The cord has a T-bar type clasp, handmade from copper. For the clasp, the curly end slots into the round end. The copper for the clasp is not lacquered. If you want the necklace shorter, you can fasten it with a knot instead. The necklace comes in a black presentation box.
The heart is about 5cm high.
