Description
Red enamelled copper necklace in a hedgehog shape. I made the necklace by enamelling a hedgehog copper shape in red vitreous enamel. On the final firing I left the hedgehog in the kiln for a bit longer. This given a darker outer egde and darker dots. I’d class the red as a slightly dull scarlet.
The necklace is on a silver colour, allergy safe, surgical steel chain. The chain is 60cm long – a little longer than normal because it can always be made shorter with a knot. Surgical steel looks silver, but doesn’t tarnish. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in red too because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. One photo shows the back. The pendant is 2cm high and 3cm wide. It comes in a black presentation box.
