Description

Pale blue enamelled necklace in a stylised leaf shape or drop shape with a hole in the centre. I made the necklace using pale blue vitreous enamel.  For the last firing I added sprinkles of white and gave it a bit longer in the kiln (overfiring).  This gave small white or paler blue dots, plus a darker outer edge and a few darker dots.  The effect is quite subtle.

The necklace is on a black waxed cotton cord.  The cord is slightly longer than often because it can always be made shorter with a knot.  The cord has a T-bar type fixing.  The back of the necklace has been enamelled in pale blue because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln.

The pendant is about 4.5cm tall.  I call it a stylised leaf or drop because I can’t really describe the shape well!
