Description
Oval orange with coloured dots enamelled necklace on silver colour, surgical steel, allergy-safe chain. The necklace is presented in a black box. I made the necklace by enamelling the oval copper shape with orange. On the final firing I added a mix of enamel colours, plus overfired it a lot (left it in the kiln for longer). This gave a silver and dark outer edge (it looks dark, but on an angle you can see a silver line too). It also gave dark dots. The mixture of enamels means the surface feels a tiny bit rippled. Blues and greys have ended up the most dominant colours for spots.
The chain is slightly longer than often, at 60cm total length, because it can always be made shorter with a knot. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in orange because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. The pendant is 3cm high.
