Description
Navette or marquise shaped orange with colourful spots enamelled necklace. I made the necklace by enamelling a copper navette shape in orange. On the final firing I added crushed millefiori glass pieces and also left it for longer in the kiln. Giving it longer in the kiln (overfiring) gives a dark outer edge and dark dots. The millefiori gave colourful spots (but also a slightly uneven surface). The back of the necklace has been enamelled in orange because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. The pendant is about 4cm tall. I class the navette necklace shape as an elongated oval with pointy tips.
