Description
Green enamelled copper necklace in a triangle shape. I would class the green as bottle green or racing green. It’s a little darker and a touch dull. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in green too. The back of the pendant needs enamelling to reduce warping and the chance of the enamel cracking. On the back there are some marks from where the pendant has been supported in the kiln. One picture shows the back.
Vitreous enamel is effectively glass, but melting it onto copper in a kiln makes the materials bond. If you drop it, it might crack, but it isn’t as fragile as you might expect. The chain is surgical steel at about 60cm length. The length is a little longer than often because it can be made shorter if needed. Surgical steel looks silver, but doesn’t tarnish. The pendant is about 4.5cm tall and comes in a black presentation box.
