Description
Enamelled copper flower, based on fritillaria or fritillaries, with a wooden base. The base is made from wood and has been stained dark oak colour. The flower and leaves have been enamelled with vitreous enamel – the flower is white with a creamy pattern.
I have two enamelled fritillarias that are slightly imperfect. If you place an order, please say which you’d prefer.
One – this flower is slightly discounted because I’m not 100% happy with it. There isn’t anything really wrong with it, but it has a couple of areas that are just a little below standard. One area is the petals – they haven’t bent at quite the right angle and the enamel at the top edge is uneven. The other area is the leaves which show some brazing dark marks on the enamel.
Two – this flower is slightly discounted because the enamel at the top of the petals has chipped slightly when the petals were shaped, plus the inside of the flower has uneven enamel coverage.

The flower is about 19cm tall.

The inside of the flower and the back of the leaves may have some marks or uneven enamel from how they’re supported in the kiln during enamelling.
