Description

Framed enamelled copper labrador or pointer dog silhouette wall hanging or wall art.  It’s mounted in a wood-effect frame with watercolour background.

The dog is black, approx 13cm nose to tail.  I made it by cutting the dog shape out of sheet copper using a jewellers saw.  I then enamelled it in black vitreous enamel using a kiln.  The dog warped a little in the kiln, which I like as an effect because it makes it look more alive to me.  This means there’s no glass on the frame, but that also helps to see the enamelling.  I created a green gradient watercolour for the background.  The framed labrador or pointer dog is mounted into a 25cm by 30cm pale oak colour frame.
