Description

Copper heart necklace with a black waxed cord.  I made this necklace by cutting a heart shape out of sheet copper.  To make it hopefully more interesting I hammered the heart.  This has given a subtle texture to each side, with the two sides being different.  It has also domed the pendant a little.  The hole for the cord is a mini heart shape.  It comes in a black presentation box.  I coated the heart with lacquer to try to keep the bright copper colour, but it may rub off with time and wear.

The heart is about 7cm high and 5.7cm wide at the widest point.  The cord is quite long because I think you can always make it shorter by knotting or cutting.  It has a T-bar type fastening – for this, the bar pushes through the circle to fasten the necklace.

I can make this necklace without texturing if you’d prefer.
