Description
White enamelled copper swan wall art, mounted on a hand painted wooden board. The wooden board has been painted pale or sky blue, with a grey border. It has a hook on the back so it can be hung. The swan has been cut from sheet copper before being enamelled in vitreous enamel. It is off-white/ivory colour, with a black beak. I enamelled it on a very cold day which meant my kiln was struggling to hold temperature and so it has ended up a tiny bit overfired – it has tiny black dots in the ivory enamel. I think I prefer it looking a tiny bit overfired because it’s more interesting. The board is about 22cm wide by 19cm high.
