Description
Blue enamelled copper necklace in a butterfly shape. I made the necklace by enamelling a butterfly shape in a pale blue. On the final firing I left the butterfly in the kiln for a lot longer. This given a dark, slightly green outer edge and dark dots. The necklace is on a silver colour, allergy safe, surgical steel chain. The chain is 60cm long – a little longer than normal because it can always be made shorter with a knot. Surgical steel looks silver, but doesn’t tarnish. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in blue too because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. One photo shows the back. The pendant is 2cm high and just over 3.5cm wide. It comes in a black presentation box.
