Description
Oval yellow enamelled necklace on black waxed cotton cord and presented in a black box. I made this necklace using yellow enamel. The yellow is a little dull, rather than vivid. I added other enamels towards the end of making the necklace. I also fired the necklace for longer. This has given a dark outer edge and dark marks. The back has slight marks from how the pendant is held in the kiln. I used a black waxed cord to match the dark marks in the enamel. The cord has a T-bar type fixing, but is also quite long. I make the cords long because it can always be made shorter with a knot. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in the same colours because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. The pendant is 4cm high.
